Parwich

Well Restoration

The Parwich Village Plan identified the objectives to: "Protect and maintain the green and open spaces in and around the village", "Protect village heritage and lifestyle" and "Identify and promote specific improvements to enhance the village environment".

The Parwich Village Action Group (Environment Group) used the plan to identify the restoration of a derelict well in the village as one of their priority projects. The project would enhance the village image as well as restoring part of the heritage of the community.

By applying for Objective 2 funding from the Peak District National Park Authority, the Action Group claimed a 100% grant of over £600 to carry out the project in November 2002.

By applying for Objective 2 funding from the Peak District National Park Authority, the Action Group claimed a 100% grant of almost £1000 to carry out the project in December 2002.
