Vision Project
The
Vision for Wildlife Project is a partnership project between the Peak District National Park Authority
and Natural England aimed at enhancing, extending and linking sites of high wildlife
value. It has made a significant contribution to achieving targets listed in the Peak District Biodiversity
Action Plan. Originally centred around Longstone Moor’s limestone heath, the Vision Project Area extended north in
2006 to include Dark Peak habitats around Eyam and Offerton Moors.

Project annual report
Community involvement has been integral to the success of the Vision
Project and the delivery of BAP action. Delivery of conservation works throughout the area has been
facilitated in many instances by volunteer action. In addition at specific sites local people have taken
the lead in partnership with the Vision Project to deliver the Biodiversity "Vision".
