Environmental Quality Mark

EQM and Quality Assessed Accommodation

Businesses that have achieved the Environmental Quality Mark are regularly assessed by the Peak District National Park Authority to ensure they continue to meet high standards of conservation and environmental protection.

The quality of tourism accommodation is not assessed as part of the EQM. This is assessed separately by VisitBritain or the AA.

What does quality assessed accommodation mean?

When you choose to stay in Peak District quality assessed accommodation, you can be confident that it has been checked out before you check in.

The majority of the accommodation featured on the EQM accommodation page has been assessed by VisitBritain. You will see a star rating and the type of accommodation - if it is the best in that rating you will see some properties have been awarded a Silver or Gold award too.

Each property that chooses to take part in the quality assurance scheme is assessed annually and you can check their latest rating online at www.visitpeakdistrict.com.

The National Accessibility Scheme will show you properties that can provide a certain level of accessibility and that the needs of disabled guests have been considered. Please telephone to check the facilities available before you book.
