Try lamb grazed on limestone dales. Enjoy beef from cattle grazing hay meadows rich in species such as oxeye daisy, hay rattle and providing breeding and feeding habitat for skylark, brown hare and butterflies. Look for ice cream, butter, cheese, cream and milk from dairy farms which manage their field edges, woodlands and streams to benefit wildlife. Excellent site for upland wader birds such as lapwing, curlew and snipe, which are attracted by traditional hay meadows, scrapes (small ponds) and stubble turnips. Traditional breeds of livestock kept, including pedigree Belted Galloway cattle. Beef, lamb, mutton and pork from the farm available seasonally. Also haylage for sale as quality horse feed.

Broomhead is a traditional moorland estate in the Dark Peak. White House Farm is a family farm at Padfield near Glossop. Both farmed by Michael Wynne, who supplies lamb and beef to J W Mettrick & Son Ltd family butchers in Glossop.

Dairy and beef farm with a small retail outlet selling own milk. Prizewinning pedigree Charolais cattle. Special features include wildflowers and hay meadows, drystone walls, old lead rakes and limestone dale with fossils. Our dewponds have the highest recorded population numbers of great crested newts in the area. Free farm walks by appointment.

Award-winning chocolate producers who live and work from a National Trust property. In 2005 we converted a disused barn into a chocolate workshop, where we take small groups on our award-winning chocolate experience. We try and incorporate Peak Park-produced, home-grown and foraged ingredients as much as possible into our recipes. Our produce is available nationally as well as locally, and can also be purchased online. Our 'chocolate experience' takes place throughout the year. Elegant Derbyshire manor house on the edge of the magnificent Chatsworth Estate. The heart of this home is its Michelin-starred dining room offering modern European dishes. Ingredients are carefully and seasonally sourced. Staff are environmentally conscious and have made a concerted effort to substantially reduce the environmental impact of the business.

Hall Farm is managed without artificial fertilisers and herbicides. The farm boasts some of the best wildflower meadows in the Peak District National Park, as well as offering breeding and feeding habitats for species including curlew, snipe, brown hare, skylark and pipstrelle bat. This family business has traded in Glossop for over 100 years. The family has strong relationships with local hill farmers that in some cases go back generations. Their High Peak Lamb brand only sources lamb from Peak District Environmental Quality Mark (EQM) farms.

Mistlehall Farm is a 40 acre free-range egg enterprise. The flock is 'Lion Code' and Freedom Foods accredited. They are springwater-fed and antibiotic-free. The moorland edge grazing is run on a chemical-free regime and the land is managed to accommodate rare moorland birds such as black grouse, winchat and merlin.

We farm at over 1200ft on the edge of Combs Moss, using traditional, sustainable husbandry, practised before modern, intensive production. Dexter beef and Texel sheep are reared such as to allow natural behaviour patterns. Available from Buxton, Castleton and Marple Farmers' Markets or from the farm gate - please ring ahead.

The Gills run a herd of water buffalo, and sell water buffalo steaks, burgers and sausages through their own farm shop and at a number of local Farmers’ Markets. Nether Rod Knowle Farm is one of the best sites in Derbyshire for lapwing and has been entered for RSPB’s 2007 Lapwing Champion award.

Rock Farm is a family-run sheep and beef farm that is managed to maintain and enhance the flower-rich pastures and meadows. It produces high-quality herb-rich hay and haylage in small or large bales especially for horses.

Rowley's is an all day bar and restaurant. We serve locally brewed beers and cook with fresh regional produce. Rowley’s supports the Peak District by using local produce and skills, conserving energy and resources, and offering warm hospitality to visitors and locals alike. We are proud to receive the EQM in recognition of our policies.

Member of the Peak Choice farmers’ co-operative "delivering beef and lamb from the Peak District direct to your door" (www.peakchoice.co.uk). The farm contains numerous important archaeological features including Bronze Age barrows, limekilns and caves with potential for Pleistocene deposits.

Tindalls take great efforts to reduce the waste they produce and help their customers do the same through the sale of ‘bags for life’. A wide range of local products are sold in the shop and fresh bread is baked on site daily.
