Wild camping

Under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act, which governs the right of access to open country, you must first obtain permission from the landowner before camping; otherwise you will be committing a trespass.

Unlike Scotland and some other National Parks, there is no provision for wild camping in the Peak District National Park and the Authority does not allow wild camping on its land.
