learning for educators

Learning for Teachers and Educators

As part of the Peak District National Park we believe experiences outside the classroom make significant and long lasting impacts to learning. Outcomes are often measurable in terms of contributions to the planned curriculum, enthusiasm and motivation, and the development of the individual.

Losehill can help you develop these experiences so staff and pupils gain the maximum benefit with observable improvements in achievement and attitudes to learning.

We can provide you with:

  • A programme of courses for teachers to support learning outside the classroom in different curriculum areas.
  • Training delivered directly to you in school
  • The confidence to develop your own creative and compelling learning experience
  • Ideas and projects to use at school
  • Practical advice and help with risk assessments and health and safety issues
  • Guidance on making the most of school trips and visits, both at the planning stage and back in the classroom
