How to use the planning portal

The Planning Portal is the planning and building regulations website for England and Wales.  It gives information about planning and allows you to submit your application online.

Submitting online will mean your application is processed more quickly and cheaply and will uses much less paper than traditional applications.

The Peak District National Park Authority encourages all everyone wishing to submit a planning application to do it online.

The Planning Portal is easy to use and we have created links within our website to take you through to the correct parts of the site.

Registering

You will first need to register your contact details and create a username and password.  Registering does not commit you to anything, and you do not have to submit your application at the same time

When your details have been confirmed you will be able to login and start your application

Submitting your application

Submitting your application to the Planning Portal. will involve uploading a number of documents and images

To avoid files being rejected they need to be saved them in the right format and in a sufficiently small file size.to be uploaded.
