A small car park overlooking the River Wye near Buxton; pay and display, free to blue badge holders. The surface is of smooth tarmac with 2 spaces reserved for disabled people, one at the top of the site overlooking the river and one at the bottom giving access to the footpath; there are no other facilities at this site.

The site slopes gently at about 1:30 but the parking bays are level.

A public bridleway and private track to Blackwell Mill Cottages might prove a pleasant riverside walk if the conditions are dry.

Access to the end of the Monsal Trail is up steep steps unsuitable for people in wheelchairs (no handrail).
