Birchen Edge Car Park

A small informal car park with pleasant outlook adjacent to the Robin Hood pub on the A619, giving walkers access to Birchen Edge and the Eastern Moors (step-over stiles and uneven tracks).
The car park occupies a sloping site but has a fairly smooth surface, with a tarmac road and concrete reinforced grass parking bays. The access road has gradients up to 1:9 on the bend; the most level parking bays are at the bottom close to the road. No reserved parking or facilities (nearest public toilets are at Baslow).
