This tourist information centre, jointly operated by the Peak District National Park Authority and Derbyshire Dales District Council, is in the centre of Bakewell. It does not have associated parking but behind it there is a Derbyshire Dales District Council pay and display car park, with six disabled bays for parking, free to blue badge holders.
There is level access into the centre which has helpful assistants, information and a range of National Park merchandise for sale. There is a display of locally produced goods and upstairs is a "Landscape Detectives" interactive exhibition. A lift at the back of the building, by the stairs, provides alternative access.
No toilets on site.
