Car Parks

The National Park Authority owns 49 car parks.

Car parkDid you know that your car park fee is used to:

  • Maintain car parks
  • Fund litter removal
  • Improve toilet facilities
  • Provide information for visitors
  • Help conserve the special qualities of the National Park
  • Install CCTV cameras in an effort with Derbyshire Police to reduce crime

Charges

Cars and minibuses up to 1 hour £1.20
up to 4 hours £2.50
all day £3.50
Coaches (where permitted) 2 hour period £4.00
Horse boxes / lorries up to 1 hour £1.50
all day £6.00
Charges apply between 10am and 6pm
Blue badge holders (display badge) free
Cycles and motorcycles free

Permits

An annual permit entitles you to park at all the chargeable car parks owned and managed by the National Park Authority.

Residents (for people living within the National Park boundary) £15
Visitors (for people living outside the National Park boundary) £30
Senior citizen visitors £20
Coach £60

Please ensure that if you apply for a residents' permit your address is within the National Park.  

The National Park boundary is marked on most maps and road atlases.
