The mineral extraction industry is one of the biggest global producers of carbon dioxide, and the Peak District has some large quarries within its boundaries. A visit to Hope Valley Cement Works and Longstone Edge, fuel the debate as to whether mineral extraction has a sustainable future in the National Park
