Earth Caretakers

Key Stage: 2

Location: Losehill Hall or your Youth Hostel/residential centre

Duration: Available as a full day

Earth Caretakers looks at some of the natural processes that govern life on Earth and how they affect our lives.  We help empower children to take action for a more sustainable future.  Earth Caretakers focuses on the natural world and, in particular, on energy flow, food chains/webs and our use of energy and materials. The programme is designed to:

  • Increase understanding of the processes that govern life on Earth
  • Encourage positive feelings for the natural world
  • Encourage awareness of a ‘sense of place’
  • Lead to positive environmental action at home and school
