Learning in the Outdoors
Wednesday 18th April (Twilight), Thursday 19th April , Wednesday 2nd May (all day)
Course Facilitators: Mandy Sims, Independent Consultant ; Sarah Wilks, Peak District National Park and Rachael Kerr, Moorland Discovery Centre,
This course will excite and equip you with the understanding and confidence to devise and deliver effective and creative outdoor programmes of learning.
Ideal for:
Teachers and educators who wish to develop their own skills and confidence to deliver effective outdoor learning for young people. Teachers and educators from schools that are looking to raise children’s achievement through innovation and creative learning.
Learn to:
• to use the outdoors as a place for many educational possibilities
• build high-quality programmes of activities that are memorable and effective
• use a range of fieldwork techniques and environmental skills to deliver inspiring leaning.
Location: Moorland Discovery Centre, Longshaw Estate, Sheffield, Derbyshire, S11 7TZ
Tuition fee: £250 (discounts of 20% available for any school that books more than one place on any of our courses)
