Learning and Discovery Projects

This project engages 11 -18 years old in doing scientific research on climate change on the moorlands of the Peak District. It is only run in National Science and Engineering week. (March 2012). Please contact Chris Robinson, Learning and Discovery Officer, if you wish to take part next year.

This project is a video project which involves young people making a film to discuss climate change and moorlands with some of the key scientists in the field, and how this may affect them in the future. The project was part of the Economic and Social Research Council's Festival of Social Science (29 Oct - 6 Nov 2011)

A report on a sustainable tourism project which was led by the Peak District National Park Learning and Discovery Team in partnership with Buxton Museums and  Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School Ashbourne, comparing tourism in Dovedale in the 18th and 19th century with today.
