Villages and Communities Together

Working with people across the east Peak

The Villages and Communities Together project provides support to rural communities and businesses across the north east Peak.  We provide advice and support to people who live and work in the area.

What we do

  • We can help you to find funding to carry out local projects
  • We can direct you to the right services or sources of advice and information or identify the right organisation that can help you
  • We can help you to set up or run a community group or organisation and link up with other villages and groups
  • We can help you to identify the issues that are important to your community, encourage people to get involved in community activity and develop programmes for action
  • We provide free workshops and training, plus valuable networking opportunities for businesses and community groups
  • We support new and existing businesses, social enterprises, or voluntary and community organisations that contribute to Sheffield’s rural economy

Supported by our funders

The ‘Villages and Communities Together’ project is jointly-funded by Sheffield City Council’s Northern Community Assembly, the Peak District National Park Authority and a grant from the East Peak Innovation Partnership (EPIP).  EPIP funding has been made available through the Rural Development Programme for England, which is jointly funded by Defra and the European Union.
