The deadline for submitting site suggestions was Friday 19 January 2018.
The Peak District National Park Authority has commissioned consultants Peter Brett Associates to undertake a Strategic Housing and Employment Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) to provide evidence for future development plan reviews.
Call for sites
We invited landowners, developers or their agents to send site suggestions so we can identify options to address any future housing and employment needs.
Site suggestions could be submitted for any piece of land within the National Park. An assessment of each site will look at a range of criteria which will determine the site’s potential suitability, availability and achievability for development.
A Call for Sites response form was made available which consultees were asked to complete and return together with a location plan of the site, clearly identifying the boundary of the site. Supporting information could also be submitted with the form, particularly where it may assist the Authority in assessing the site.
Site suggestions could be submitted until 5.00pm on Friday 19 January 2018.
The Authority stressed that including a site within the SHELAA does not necessarily mean that it thinks it is suitable for development. The Authority also pointed out that the SHELAA does not allocate sites for development.
