Trails Strategic Master Plan

The Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) owns and manages 34 miles of highly-regarded multi-user traffic-free trails which in turn link to other cycling trails and opportunities. We want to secure their long-term future as an asset for the national park for the benefit of the public. This will require the sustainable development and management of the trails.

We are looking for a contactor to start work in early June 2013 to begin the development of a strategic master plan for the trails network and complete several related tasks.

Full details and links to relevant documents on the website can be found in the invitation to tender PDF.

The deadline for return of tenders is 12 noon on Friday 10 May 2013.

Shortlisted contractors may be required to attend for interview provisionally scheduled for week beginning Monday 20 May 2013.

If you wish to discuss aspects of this invitation to tender please address any questions by e-mail to abi.ball@peakdistrict.gov.uk

Tender for provision of transport

The National Park Authority’s Planning Committee usually makes monthly site visits to view some planning application sites that are the subject of reports to the committee. The Audit, Resources and Performance Committee also makes occasional site visits. Tenders are invited for the supply of a vehicle to facilitate these site visits for a period of three years, starting from July 2013.

The number of people attending the site visits can vary between 10 and 20 persons. The nature of the sites and the routes needed to be taken may also restrict the size of the vehicle used. Vehicles should, therefore, be able to carry at least 14 persons, but not more than 20 persons.
