Make the most of your visit to the glorious Peak District.

Enjoy cycling in the Peak District!

Getting started

Whether it's been 20 years since you've sat on a bike, you've never ridden, or feel you can't for health reasons we have a bike to suit you and can put you in touch with experienced trainers who will get you riding, even if it's just for a short way.

The Peak District National Park has 65 miles of off-road flat cycling trails and hundreds more quiet country routes, and is less than an hour away for 30% of the population of England.

Come and enjoy family friendly cycling in the beautiful surroundings of national park countryside.

Take a look at our range of bikes to see that cycling can be as comfy and safe as you need it to be, and then find a route near where you want to go to get started.

No bike?

No bike, no problem!  If you're on holiday in the Peak District, have few occasions where you'd cycle or don't have the space to store one, come to one of our cycle hire centres at Ashbourne (south of the Park), Parsley Hay (between Ashbourne and Buxton) or by Derwent valley (near to Sheffield) and hire one of ours. Our experienced, friendly staff can help you get the most from your visit. We have a range of bikes to suit all sizes, ages and abilities and get you off to a great start.

Hiring a bike even several times a year is much cheaper than buying, storing and maintaining one and can make your journey much easier and hassle free.

Our bikes are well maintained and regularly serviced, and come with a repair kit and helmet as standard.

Trailers, tag-alongs and child seats are also available for hire through the centres.

Bike in need of some TLC?

Chains get rusty, tyres go down - it's natural and happens to every bike.

A 20 minute service can transform a bike and make it rideable again. Look out for our basic bike repair courses where we'll teach you how to do it yourself. Alternatively contact one of our centres to book your bike in for a service at competitive rates. Our cycle hire staff are trained in cycle maintenance, with some staff holding formal qualifications from the Association of Cycle Traders.
