Three new leaflets have been developed, aiming to introduce visitors to different parts of the Peak District.
Hope and Hathersage, both located in the Hope Valley, are well served by buses and trains. They offer a host of things to see and do in the area.
An interesting village to wander around, the map inside the leaflet highlights points of interest , local businesses and signposts to websites for further information.
Explore the countryside around Hope via the gentle walk outlined in the leaflet, perhaps followed by time in the village enjoying the local facilities.
The Monsal Trail is a traffic-free route through some of the Peak District’s most spectacular limestone dales. The trail runs along the former Midland Railway line for 8.5 miles between Blackwell Mill, 3 miles south of Buxton and Coombs Road, Bakewell.
Five new guides have been written showing how to get the Monsal Trail from Manchester, Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham and Chesterfield.

Tideswell-an interesting village to explore with a maze of quaint alleyways and narrow lanes. Meander and explore the streets and alleys climbing up to the top of the village and enjoy the view over Tideswell and surrounding countryside. Tideswell offers many traditional shops and eating places to enjoy, many serving local produce.
Nearby Tideswell Dale offers a flat all weather path through beautiful countryside totally accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, along the route spot the wooden sculptures.

Between August and October 2012, we carried out a travel survey targeted at both visitors to, and residents of, the Peak District.
The aim of the survey was to find out how people prefer to receive information about public transport and sustainable travel. This will help us consider how we provide information and promote sustainable transport in the Peak District in the future.
