An archaeological walk on Gardom's Edge, focusing on prehistoric remains, including features excavated by John Barnatt in the 1990's. Highlights include a massive 'enclosure', house sites, a pit alignment, rock art and the 'Three Men' barrow; to contrast with later millstone quarrying and medieval farming.

Meeting point: Birchen Edge car park. From the A619 Baslow to Chesterfield road, take the B6050 towards Old Brampton, the car park is next to the Robin Hood public house.
What's the distance and terrain: 4 miles on footpaths and moorland, on easy gradients, but some rough ground.
