Ranger

Arrived at ranger base to sort through the emails and respond to telephone messages. Returned Mr Price’s phone call to discuss waymarking on the footpath through his farm.

Collected tools and gate together and went with part time staff to replace an old stile with a new gate on an important footpath through one of our beautiful dales. Spoke to many walkers using the footpath and took the opportunity to interpret landscape features to a school group using the dale for studies.

RangerCalled at the local primary school to arrange a visit next week as part of the school's John Muir Trust award.

Returned to base and spoke to head office about a Fun Day in two weeks' time. Responded to answer phone messages and debriefed the part time staff, whilst drinking tea.

On the way home called to see the Parish Clerk in one of the villages to discuss a litter problem.
