Halloween happening in Macclesfield Forest

Ghosts and ghoulies, witches and werewolves will be haunting Macclesfield Forest on Halloween Night.

And if your children want to join them - they are welcome - especially if they are in appropriately weird fancy dress!

Rangers from the Peak District National Park are organising a free Halloween party on October 31 from 4pm to 7pm, with games and even a scary walk.

Children will be able to play snakes and witches (a variation on snakes and ladders), pin the tail on the cat, or make things.

The event will be held in the Forest Yard (under cover) in the renowned beauty spot of Macclesfield Forest, owned by United Utilities, between Macclesfield and Buxton. You can get to it off the "Cat and Fiddle" road or the A54 Buxton to Congleton road - the nearest villages are Langley, Macclesfield Forest or Wildboarclough.

There is no need to book, but if you need more information, contact the Trentabank Ranger Centre on 01260 252832.
