Call for potential housing sites
The Peak District National Park Authority and two Derbyshire local councils want people to suggest sites and buildings suitable for possible future housing development.
The information will help the national park authority, Derbyshire Dales District Council and High Peak Borough Council to create new planning policy to meet future housing needs in the area.
The three authorities have commissioned consultants EKOS with Arup to undertake a preliminary assessment of the suitability of land and buildings. They are calling on local residents, parish councils, developers and landowners to identify all land and buildings that they consider have potential for residential development.
To suggest a site, people need to fill in a site suggestion form. These are available to download on the following websites:
The form is also available from the three authorities’ main offices in Bakewell, Buxton, Chinley, Glossop and Matlock.
The form must be completed and returned to:
2 Mount Street
by Monday 31 March 2008.
