Chance for Bradfield residents to have their say
Residents in Bradfield and the surrounding area are being invited to meet with leaders from the Peak District National Park Authority to talk about issues in their villages.
Narendra Bajaria, chair of the authority, and Ruth Marchington, director of corporate resources, will visit Bradfield on Thursday (6 November) in the second of a series of visits to get the views of residents in local communities across the national park.
The event is a chance for Narendra and Ruth to meet with residents, business owners and parish councillors in the village to discuss any issues that affect village life.
They will also discuss the work of the Peak District National Park Authority in the area to find out what is working well and areas where improvements could be made.
The visit will start at Dungworth Bradfield Primary School in Dungworth, before going on to the Postcard Café and Stores, which is also the local Post Office, at 3.45pm.
Narendra and Ruth will then meet Rev Alan Isaacson at St Nicholas’ Church in High Bradfield.
The visit will end at 5.15pm at the Plough Inn in New Road, Low Bradfield, when members of the public can discuss village issues with the Peak District National Park Authority leaders.
Narendra Bajaria said: “The first of our visits to Hartington proved very successful and residents told us about a variety of issues where they had concerns.
“I hope that people in Bradfield and the surrounding villages will take the opportunity to have their say during our visit on Thursday. The afternoon will be very much about us listening to what is going well in the village and areas where improvements could be made.”
Other community visits planned for the future will be at:
- Rainow on Thursday 4 December
- Parwich on Tuesday 13 January 2009
- Eyam on Monday 2 February 2009
- Bakewell on Monday 9 March 2009 and
