Tree for all - young people’s conservation day

Young people aged 8-16 can take part in a “tree for all” in the Peak District National Park on Saturday November 14.

Youngsters and their families are invited to plant trees, clear ponds and look after woodland on a Conservation Day organised by the national park’s Youth Rangers and the Woodland Trust.

The event will start at 10am at Losehill Hall, the Peak District National Park’s environmental learning centre near Castleton, finishing at 3.30pm. Booking is essential on 01433 622469/458, and young people must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The event is part of the “Trees for All” campaign run by the Woodland Trust, which is donating trees for the event.

Parking is available at Losehill Hall (postcode S33 8WB). The 272 bus from Sheffield stops nearby, and the nearest rail-station is Hope on the Manchester to Sheffield line (about 15minutes walk).
