Families are in for a two-wheeled treat at Parsley Hay, near Hartington, on Sunday March 13.
The fun starts at 10.30am with free cycle skills training and games for all the family led by experienced trainers.
Pedal Peak District event organiser Carol Parsons said: We want families to come along to Parsley Hay and improve their cycling skills. Pedal Ready trainers will be on hand to give friendly advice and cycling tips.
Come and have a go on Wheely Fun’s generator bike and join in the supervised games and activities that are designed to build people’s confidence on bikes.
For families who want to explore the area there will be two short led rides along the traffic-free Tissington Trail at 11.30am and 1:30pm. The friendly guides will talk about the history of the old railway along the way and there will be a chance to go inside the Hartington signal box.
There will also be puncture repair workshops and basic bike checks available for free every half hour, on the hour and half past, until 2.30pm.
Families can bring their own bikes or hire them at the cycle hire centre (SK17 0DG for satnavs). Visit www.peakdistrict.gov.uk/cycle for information on cycle hire charges.
