Peak District small arts and crafts producers can learn how to promote their products and find new outlets at a free Meet the Buyer event in Bakewell.
Organised by the Peak District National Park’s Live & Work Rural programme, the event takes place on Tuesday May 10 at Bakewell Town Hall.
With speakers from national park visitor centres, Haddon Hall and the National Trust, producers can hear about:
- Top tips for pitching and promoting arts and crafts
- What sells and what does not
- Sources of business support, marketing training and an ideas exchange.
Live & Work Rural senior officer Lindsay Allen said: “If you are a small arts and crafts producer it can be hard to find places to sell your work. This is an opportunity for producers to meet the people who decide which products will sell in some of the most popular visitor outlets in the Peak District, and to learn vital tips on promoting their work.”
The free event starts at 9.15am on May 10 and finishes with a buffet lunch allowing producers and buyers to network and share ideas.
To take part, contact the Live & Work Rural Team on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01629 816338 (stating any dietary requirements) by April 28.
