'Made in the Peak District - Selling to the World' is the theme of the first in a series of networking events organised by Business Peak District.

Thornbridge Hall at Ashford in the Water is the venue on Thursday 19 July for a morning packed with informative and helpful advice for local businesses.

The 'Made in the Peak District - Selling to the World' seminar is for anyone looking to sell more widely, be that in the UK or globally.

Guest speakers include Business Peak District's Chair Jim Harrison, who said: "The Peak District is a terrific brand and this event is designed to help local firms better promote their business locally and internationally.

"We believe it's important that Peak District businesses that are already exporting successfully pass on their expertise.  This event is going to be really useful in this respect as local businesses have the opportunity to network and learn about what support there is from the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) & and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

"This is just the first in a series of Business Peak District events for which we have a great list of guest speakers to help and inspire local businesses to take the next step."

The Thornbridge Hall event on 19 July runs from 9.30am to 1pm and other speakers include Alex Buchanan of Thornbridge Brewery, Suzanne Stokes of Hathersage-based local manufacturing and export cutlery business NEST UK Ltd (TUM TUM) and representatives from MAS and UKTI.

Derbyshire Dales Business Advice and the National Park Authority’s rural business advisor will both be on hand to provide advice.

One to one sessions are available with experts for any confidential matters and bookings can be made online at  Booking is essential by Monday 16 July as places are limited and FREE, including a locally sourced lunch and optional Thornbridge brewery tour at Bakewell Riverside .
