Fancy a stroll…while celebrating National Meadows Day?
The South West Peak Landscape Partnership is offering a free guided walk on Saturday July 1 (10am) to highlight its Glorious Grasslands project.
The project is dedicated to protecting and restoring flower-rich meadows throughout the South West Peak and the walk will be of interest to anyone wanting to learn more about these scarce habitats and their value for wildlife and people.
A project officer will lead the informative walk around Warslow’s traditional hay meadows which offer diversity and beauty in a largely unchanged landscape.
As an added bonus the Warslow Beer Festival is also taking place from noon onwards and offers an extra visitor experience!
The walk begins at Manifold Academy, off Leek Road, Warslow, Buxton, SK17 0JP and is from 10am to 1pm. Booking is essential as places are limited.
