The Peak District comprises three distinct National Character Areas – the Dark Peak, the White Peak and the South West Peak. These are further divided and described in the Landscape Character Assessment into Regional Character Areas and Landscape Types. Objectives, Targets and Actions are being produced for each of these areas, relevant to their particular landscape and biodiversity features.
