‘Pledge Protect Connect’ event for the Year of Green Action

The ‘Pledge Protect Connect’ event was hosted by the Peak District National Park Authority at the Nightingale Centre, Great Hucklow on the 13th July 2019. The event celebrated 2019 as the Year of Green Action, and included speakers from community groups who positively contribute to the environment. These speakers, along with stalls, displays and activities, brought people together and helped those looking for inspiration.

What’s next?

At the end of the event we asked people to make a pledge to do something positive for their environment – and in turn we pledged to follow this up with our practical help and a community grant to bring these ideas to life. It was wonderful to see so many people making these pledges and we are now working through them to see where we can give help and assistance.

Also on the day we asked people to complete a feedback form. This feedback will be used to help decide what we can do next.

We aim to make contact with all those people who left their contact details at the event to let them know what help is on offer, however, if you were not at the event but have an idea for a pledge then please get in touch.
