Corporate Volunteering and Sponsorship for Businesses

Peak Park Conservation Volunteers (PPCV) works with a variety of corporate and commercial clients helping to deliver social responsibility programmes and team building days. We can provide you with bespoke environmental conservation projects to suit the needs and interests of your organisation and staff. All the projects will benefit the environment and the unique qualities of the Peak District National Park. Groups have been involved in dry-stone walling projects, footpath maintenance, removal of rhododendron or scrub from hay-meadows, as well as working on traditional dew ponds or helping to remove invasive species. A corporate volunteering day with PPCV will provide you with:
- A unique opportunity for your staff or team to develop, in the stunning surroundings of the Peak District National Park.
- A constructive and rewarding project for your staff or team to be involved in as part of a team-building or fun day out of the office program.
- A unique opportunity to work in partnership with one of the countries National Parks.
- A rewarding way to fulfil corporate responsibility while developing your own team or staff
For every 10 staff that volunteers from a company, we ask employers to match their staff's voluntary day with a £500 donation as a legacy for the PPCV program. This donation allows PPCV to continue to run the volunteer programme, enabling other community groups to have a similar volunteering experience in the future.
Some of the companies PPCV has worked with so far include: Brother Printers, National Grid, Barclays Bank, Willmott Dixon Construction, ACE Group, and Audi UK, with a long term partnership with Tarmac limited.
On the day
The PPCV team will be on hand to guide you throughout the project. PPCV will provide all the necessary tools and PPE, with a quick and clear explanation on how to use all the tools. We will then explain about the particular site you’re working on and why your project matters. Obviously with all outdoor practical projects there is a small element of risk but all the PPCV team are first aid trained and equipped with first aid kits. Your staff will be covered by the PPCV insurance while volunteering with us, and we also have risk assessments available for the projects.
If you’d like to set up a project day, the next step is to chat to the PPCV team, who can talk you through the logistics of setting up your day. Contact ppcv@peakdistrict.gov.uk or 01629 816534.
