Planning awards 2018 - nominations

The Peak District National Park Planning Awards will take place this November, celebrating innovative design and ground-breaking architecture from across the UK’s first National Park .

The nominations were considered by the awards judging panel, with projects as varied as community and educational facilities to conservation and residential schemes.. A range of materials from traditional wood and stone, to metal and glass are showcased in the nominations, always with the National Park’s unique built heritage at the heart of design.

The winners will be announced at an event on 21 November 2018.


Meet the judges

  • Les Sturch - Friends of the Peak District/CPRE South Yorkshire and formally Director of Regeneration and Development at Sheffield City Council
  • Lynn Crowe - Professor at Sheffield Hallam University, specialising in environmental policy and landscape management
  • Derek Latham - Founder of Latham Architects in Derby, now retired, Derek was an architect, urban designer, masterplanner and landscape architect
  • Paul Ancell - Chair of the Peak District National Park Authority Planning Committee, and formally a Planner and Chief Executive of Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council
