The Peak District National Park Foundation – a great way to give this year

The Foundation (a registered charity) was launched in 2019, ahead of our 70th anniversary to inspire people to explore, enjoy and support the Peak District National Park with an aim to raise £70,000 for projects across the area with #70kfor70.

Andrew McCloy, chair

A Peak District resident, parish councillor and passionate advocate for the outdoors, Andrew is looking to the future of the Peak District across major issues such as climate change, sustainable transport and people’s understanding of caring for our landscapes. A member of the Outdoor Writers & Photographers Guild, Andrew writes for a number of magazines alongside a role as trustee of the Peak District National Park Foundation and director of National Parks England.

Jen Lowthrop, chair, Peak District National Park Foundation

Jen is a freelance digital marketer and trainer. Also a a trustee for a number of charities and social enterprises, Jen has worked with a range of charities on their social media campaigns. She grew up in the Peak District National Park and is passionate about enabling more people to enjoy our fantastic landscapes, which underpins her role as the Foundation's first chair.

Our rangers

The Peak District National Park has a vibrant team of rangers from all walks of life, including long-standing colleagues and a new, younger generation all working hard to look after a huge array of locations and undertake myriad tasks each and every day. Many of the team are familiar with working alongside the media.
