2026 Restrictions

You can carry out a map search on Natural England's website for these and other access restrictions.

Public rights of way are not affected by restrictions on open access land.

Update - 13 August 2026

Access land within the White Peak is closed from 13 August 2026 until further notice.

Due to the MET Office Extreme Amber Heat Warning and 'Exceptional' Fire Severity Index level, open access land across the White Peak is closed and there remains an increased and critical risk of fire across all other areas of the National Park at this time.

Please help to manage the risk of wildfire by staying local and keeping to public rights of way across the National Park.
