Temporary closures

Castleton National Park Centre

Our centre at Castleton is now open after refurbishment work, although the café remains closed until around May 2026. The adjacent car park and toilets remain open.

UPDATE: the centre will be fully closed on 1 July due to necessary works to our electrical supply. The centre will reopen as usual on 2 July.

Monsal Trail

Works will begin on 5 May at cutting No.3 on the Monsal Trail to install rock net fencing against a collapsing dry stone wall.

The trail itself will stay open but there will be a restricted area around the works. Please do follow any instructions and signage provided by our on-site contractors.
