Moorland wildfires / closures
Update: 18 August 2026
As a result of the relatively cooler and damper weather, recent access land restrictions within the National Park have now been lifted. The fire risk remains high, so we ask that everyone enjoying the Peak District remains vigilant to the risk of wild fires, and reports any fires immediately to the Fire Service on 999.
Please do not bring BBQs, camp fires or use any form of open flame in the countryside of the Peak District.

Hollin Bank car park - temporary reduction in capacity
Due to a planned event, Hollin Bank car park will have a reduction in capacity on 25 to 27 August 2026.
Torside car park - temporary closure
Due to planned events, Torside car park will be completely closed to the public on 28 August and 7 September 2026.
