Coronavirus Covid-19 Emergency Regulations.
Meetings of the Authority and its Committees
In accordance with the powers conferred under section 78 of the Coronavirus Act 2020 the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has issued Regulations to allow local authorities, including National Park Authorities to hold meetings in virtual locations such as internet locations, web addresses or conference call telephone numbers. These Regulations came into force on 4 April 2020 and may apply to meetings that take place up to 7 May 2021.
In response to the Regulations the Authority is now holding virtual meetings of the Authority and its Programmes and Resources Committee using video conferencing software. Although Aldern House in Bakewell is closed you can still watch our meetings live on YouTube using the following link:
Our existing public participation scheme is still in place so Members of the public can register to speak for three minutes at meetings of the Authority and its Committees. Because of the unusual circumstances we are trying to be as accommodating as possible to help you contribute to meetings so, subject to the registration requirements set out in the scheme, you can submit your representations in advance in writing or by video or audio recordings. You may also address the meeting live by telephone. For more information please contact the Democratic and Legal Support Team on 01629 816 200 (8.45am to 5pm Monday to Friday - answer machine at other times) or email firstname.lastname@example.org
At the moment decisions that would normally be considered at Planning Committee are being made under the Chief Executive's delegated authority. Please use the following link to view recent or forthcoming decisions made using this delegation.
