For over 40 years the Peak Park Conservation Volunteers (PPCV) has worked with volunteers from all kinds of backgrounds, helping them to enjoy and understand the qualities of the Peak District National Park. PPCV provides a unique opportunity for individuals to join in and help protect the environment through practical conservation projects. As well as having a positive, informative, and fun experience through their volunteering activity.
How to join
Anyone can join in with the PPCV Individual programme (although we do ask if you’re under 18 that a parent or guardian accompanies you). We run a project on the last Friday and weekend in the month. And it’s easy and free to get involved, in just 3 easy steps...
Fill in the online application form.
Now you don’t have to do anything, we will send you a confirmation email and post a membership card to you.
A week before the project we will email you all the information about the project, the meeting points and background on the project. All you have to do is reply to the email if you’d like to come so that we have some idea of numbers. There is no commitment at all if you’re busy or it’s too far away or you just don’t fancy that project don’t worry there is always next month.
Turn up at the meeting point join in with the rest of the PPCV Individual volunteers and have a great day.
It really is as simple as that, there is no commitment on your behalf only to let us know you’re coming, so that we can ensure we have the right tools and the suitable project for everyone.
Thank you very much they for offering to volunteer with PPCV and we look forward to meeting you on a project site soon.
