Meet the Assessors

Ken Lloyd - SOLACE

Ken represents the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE), the organisation Defra has nominated to co-ordinate the assessments for the NPAs.

Dr Duncan Jeffray – Lake District NPA member

Appointed to the Authority in 2001, Dr Jeffray's background is in education. He has a keen interest in nature conservation.

Dr Nigel Stone – Exmoor National Park Officer
National Park Officer for five years, Dr Stone has extensive experience of environmental education and countryside services, and previously served as a regional director of Groundwork.

Mark MacGregor – Broads Authority, Dir. Field Services
Mr MacGregor has 25 years' experience of countryside recreation management and his wide-ranging remit at the Broads includes countryside services, volunteers, visitor centres and river patrols.

Annie Shepperd – Walsall MBC, Chief Executive
With 25 years' experience of local government, Ms Shepperd has also held senior positions at councils in Bath and NE Somerset, Liverpool and the London boroughs of Sutton, Ealing and Wandsworth.
