NEW! FREE Online Learning!

We are pleased to offer a NEW programme of online learning to support schools, available for FREE.

  • Online Education Sessions – These FREE 45 minute sessions bring the National Park to your classroom, with live input from our Learning & Discovery Rangers. Covering a range of curriculum-linked topics, we can host these sessions on WebEx, or we can join you on your preferred platform. The sessions are aimed at KS2.

  • "Ask the Ranger" – Q & A or talks with one of our Learning & Discovery rangers, based around a subject of your choice and open to all ages. These online talks with opportunity for your students to pose questions can by up to 45min and could be on a range of topics such as rivers, habitats, tourism, national parks, carbon and water cycles.   • Doorstep Discovery Day - If you would like an all-day learning experience, our Online ‘Doorstep Discovery’ day for KS2 offers online input from our Learning & Discovery team, as well as access to online resources to help you explore the habitat around your school, and learn why national parks are important.   • NEW 2021 National Parks UK resources. These are a set of new downloadable activities and lesson plans designed by a leading educational expert to grow school knowledge about one of the UK’s greatest cultural assets, our family of National Parks

Learning in your setting

For those groups who do not feel able to make a visit to us, but would still like to benefit from the expertise of our delivery staff, we will be offering visits to your school setting. This will be available for KS2. Sessions available will include An Introduction to National Parks and Climate Change.

CPD for Teachers and Educators

To support the government guidance that "schools should also make use of outdoor spaces in the local area to support delivery of the curriculum", we are able to offer CPD for helping to develop outdoor learning in your setting. We are also hoping to run online CPD sessions. Please contact us for more information and to discuss your requirements
