Why choose us for your Peak District break?

Nestled effortlessly in the hillside and just a stone’s throw from the iconic Stanage Edge within the National Park, Cattis Side Cottage will immerse you in nature from the moment you arrive and relax.

Simply but beautifully decorated including contemporary touches and plenty of nods to its Peak District heritage, the cottage grounds and views give way to native woodlands with a perfect combination of a ‘remote’ feel but with local amenities just a short drive (or longer walk) away.

Although our two log burners give a warm and cosy welcome, under the skin of this 16th century cottage are plenty of green credentials too for the feel-good factor and as part of our pledge to Net Zero by 2050, including a naturally fed water supply, investment in rewilding, and air source heat pump for added comfort.

Literary heritage, world-class rock climbing and wildlife watching can all be enjoyed on the doorstep, with sought-after locations such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and villages such as Bakewell, Castleton and Edale less than 30 mins drive. Locally, the National Trust's Longshaw Estate and Eastern Moors are just a short distance by car, or by well-marked walking trails for keen hikers.

So if you’re still deciding between a lodge, a barn, glamping or a touch of luxury where nature is right next door, Cattis Side Cottage may be the perfect choice.
