Land management grants for farmers and landowners

Here's a brief summary to help farmers and landowners navigate through the complex number of grants currently available to support conservation on their land.


Countryside Stewardship (CS)

The Countryside Stewardship includes Capital Grant Scheme which provides grants for items covering:

  • boundaries, trees and orchards
  • water quality (Catchment Sensitive Farming)
  • air quality

Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme (FiPL)

The Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme provides funding for farmers and land managers until 2024 in the National Park for projects that:

  • enhance nature
  • mitigate the impacts of climate change
  • provide opportunities for people to discover, enjoy and understand the landscape and its cultural heritage
  • protects or improve the quality and character of the landscape or place.
