Temporary closures
Parsley Hay - Public Toilets
The male and female public toilets at Parsley Hay will be closed for refurbishment from
2 November - 14 December.
The Accessible toilets and Changing Place facility will remain open for the duration of the works.
Temporary toilet facilities will also be provided in the rear car park for use whilst the refurbishment works are underway.
Hooks Carr - Car Park
Hooks Carr (Stanage Popular) car park will be partially or fully closed from 6 October for 4 weeks.
Please use alternate parking at Hollin Bank (Stanage Plantation), Burbage Bridge or Dennis Knoll (High Neb).
Please do not park on the roadside verges as it damages important habitats and restricts essential vehicle access.
Moorland wildfires / closures
Update: 18 August 2026
As a result of the relatively cooler and damper weather, recent access land restrictions within the National Park have now been lifted. The fire risk remains high, so we ask that everyone enjoying the Peak District remains vigilant to the risk of wild fires, and reports any fires immediately to the Fire Service on 999.
Please do not bring BBQs, camp fires or use any form of open flame in the countryside of the Peak District.
