Peak District Explorers - Map Skills

Become Explorers of the Peak District on this hands-on day exploring and discovering the unique landscape of the National Park!

Students will get first-hand experience and get to grips with initial map skills in a fun and practical way. Exploring, designing and using maps in the real world, they’ll begin to build confidence as they learn to navigate, observe and make sense of key features of the landscape around them.

Our Map Skills day is curriculum linked and gives students valuable experiences and opportunities to connect with the natural environment. Throughout this immersive day we will discover how maps can be used to help us understand the world around us.
