River Study

peak district landscape

Step into the role of a geographer and discover the fascinating world of rivers in the beautiful upland landscapes of the Peak District National Park.

Our River Studies day gives pupils the opportunity to explore a real river, bringing their classroom learning to life as they identify key features and how they have helped to shape the landscape. Through hands-on fieldwork, children develop their observation, enquiry and recording skills, whilst making meaningful connections between theory and the natural environment.

This immersive, curriculum linked day encourages curiosity and teamworking skills all while creating memorable experiences.
