Dore Neighbourhood Plan
Made by Sheffield City Council on 6 October 2021 and Peak District National Park Authority on 10 September 2021. Referendum result: 95% yes.
The Dore Neighbourhood Plan 2018–2034 sets out planning policies for Dore, a village on the south-western edge of Sheffield, partly within the Peak District National Park and partly within Sheffield's Green Belt. It was prepared by the Dore Neighbourhood Forum, working with the Dore Village Society, following community engagement stretching back to 2005. Its vision is for Dore to continue benefiting from the natural beauty of the National Park's eastern moorland fringe, while protecting the Green Belt and village character from unsuitable infill development. Following a referendum on 12 August 2021, in which 95% of those voting supported the plan, it was made by the Peak District National Park Authority on 10 September 2021 and by Sheffield City Council on 6 October 2021. It now forms part of the statutory development plan and is used to help decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.
