A referendum asking 'Do you want the Peak District National Park Authority to use the neighbourhood plan for Hartington Town Quarter to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?' took place on Wednesday 8 July 2026. Over 50% of people voting said 'yes'. (One hundred and eight (108) people voted 'yes' and six (6) voted 'no'.)
